Here is the full list of candidates who contested the Lok Sabha election in 2019 from Karimganj Lok Sabha constituency of Assam.
Karimganj is one of 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in the north-eastern state of Assam. Voting for the 2019 Lok Sabha election took place on April 18. The result will be out on May 23.
Kripanath Mallah of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Chandan Das of the All India Trinamool Congress, Swarup Das of the Indian National Congress and Radheshyam Biswas of the All India United Democratic Front are some of the most prominent names who contested the Lok Sabha election 2019 from Karimganj Lok Sabha constituency in Assam.
Karimganj registered 79.08 per cent voter turnout in Lok Sabha Election 2019, a gain of 2.99 per cent from 2014. The total number of electors in the constituency is 1338005 while 1058088 came out to exercise their franchise. While in 2014, the constituency registered 76.09 per cent voter turnout. The total number of electors in the constituency was 1164231 while 885823 voted.
The first phase of voting in five parliamentary constituencies of Assam ended on April 18. The total turnout recorded in the state was 76.2 per cent.
The fate of 16 candidates in Assam's Karimanj Constituency will be decided on May 23 when the counting of votes takes place and the result is declared.
