Madhepura Lok Sabha Constituency, is one of 40 Lok Sabha constituencies in the eastern state of Bihar and cast its vote in the 2019 election on April 23.

Madhepura registered 60.81 percent voter turnout in 2019, a gain of 0.99 percent. The total number of electors in the constituency is 1883603 while the total voter turnout is 1145506. While in 2014, the constituency registered 59.82 percent voter turnout. The total number of electors in the constituency was 1724292 while the total voter's turnout was 1031502.


Dinesh Chandra Yadav of Janata Dal (United), Sharad Yadav of Rashtriya Janata Dal, Umashankar of Bahujan Mukti Party and Rajesh Ranjan a.k.a Pappu Yadav of Jan Adhikar Party (Loktantrik) are some of the prominent names that will contest the Lok Sabha election 2019 from Madhepura Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar.

Madhepura constituency covers six assembly segments after delimitation in 2008–  Alamnagar, Bihariganj, Madhepura, Sonbarsha, Saharsa and Mahishi.


In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Rajesh Ranjan A.K.A Pappu Yadav of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) – won by getting a margin of over 56 thousand votes. He had defeated heavy-weight leader Sharad Yadav of the  Janata Dal (United). Pappu Yadav had secured 368937 votes while Sharad Yadav got 312728 votes.
