Raipur is one of 11 Lok Sabha constituencies in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh and cast vote in the third phase of the election this year - on April 23. The result will be out on May 23.

Raipur registered 65.99 percent voter turnout in 2019, a gain of 0.4 percent. The total number of electors in the constituency is 2111104 while the total voter turnout is 1393210. While in 2014, the constituency registered 65.59 percent voter turnout. The total number of electors in the constituency was 1903613 while the total voter's turnout was 1248618.



Khilesh Kumar Sahu Alias Khileshwar of Bahujan Samaj Party, Pramod Dubey of Indian National Congress, Sunil Kumar Soni of Bharatiya Janata Party and Santosh Yadu of Shivsena are some of the prominent names that will contest the Lok Sabha election 2019 from Raipur Lok Sabha constituency in Chhattisgarh.


Raipur Lok Sabha constituency comprises of nine assembly segments - Baloda Bazar, Bhatapara, Dharsiwa, Raipur Rural, Raipur City West, Raipur City North, Raipur City South, Arang (SC) and Abhanpur.

BJP's Ramesh Bais has been leading the party from this constituency for the last several years. He has never lost a Lok Sabha election from here since 1996. In 2014 Lok Sabha election, Bais defeated Congress' Satya Narayan Sharma by 1.71 lakh votes.
