LUCKNOW: A major train mishap was averted in Lucknow on Sunday, a media report said.

According to the Times of India, fishplates of a railway track were found missing near Daliganj railway station in Lucknow.


The rail route remained blocked for two hours while the track was repaired. The route has been opened now, the report added.


Last month, a coach of a New Delhi-Ghaziabad passenger train had derailed at Okhla Railway Station but one was hurt.


The wheel of one of the coaches came off the rail at Okhla station on November 28, resulting in the derailment of the coach.


No passenger was injured in the incident.
