Ram Mandir banana tay hai, wahan dusra kuch nahi ban sakta lekin prakriya se jana padega. Nayaylay ke nirnay ke baad mandir nirmaan ka karya shuru hoga (Construction of Ram Mandir is confirmed, nothing else can be built there, but things need to move as per procedure. After Court's decision, we'll start building it),” said Joshi.

He added that anybody trying to get consensus on Ram Mandir will always be welcome.

“Ram Mandir par aam sehmati banana aasan nahi jo prayas ho raha hai uska hum swagat karte hain. (It's difficult get a consensus on Ram Mandir, so all efforts made for it is welcome),” said the RSS general secretary.

Joshi was re-elected as the RSS General Secretary, a post he's been holding since 2009, on Saturday. He will now continue in the post till 2021.

His comments came two days after reports of Lalu Prasad's son and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav claiming that his party will build the Ram Mandir emerged.

He later refuted it on Twitter.

“At Bihar Sharif's Dangal programme, I said that BJP claims about building Ram Mandir, but never puts forward a date. We will create a mandir (temple) where everyone prays together – Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christians – a temple for mankind. And then BJP's mandir issue will be over.”
