Recite Hanuman Chalisa to save crops: BJP leader`s mantra to Madhya Pradesh farmers
BJP leader Ramesh Saxena has urged the farmers in Madhya Pradesh to chant Hanuman Chalisa every day to guard against crop damage due to natural calamities.
Bhopal: BJP leader and former MLA Ramesh Saxena has a piece of advice to farmers in Madhya Pradesh in their fight against natural disasters - chanting Hanuman Chalisa.
Speaking to farmers, Ramesh Saxena, a former MLA from Sehore in Madhya Pradesh, urged the farmers to chant Hanuman Chalisa every day for an hour for the next five days to save crops from natural calamities.
The BJP leader said that if the farmers do this they will never face a calamity.
Saxena also stated that reciting the Hanuman Chalisa for five consecutive days is a sure remedy against crop loss caused by rains and hailstorm.
"Lord Hanuman is the only force which can shield against winds, rains and hails. By reciting Hanuman Chalisa for an hour daily for five days, farmers will be able to guard against natural calamities," the BJP leader said.
Ramesh Saxena asking farmers to recite Hanuman Chalisa was recorded on camera and the video was widely shared on the social media.
Several users on Twitter even ridiculed Saxena for giving such an advice to farmers.
It is to be noted that several parts of Madhya Pradesh were hit by storm, hails and rain on Sunday following which many crops were damaged.
Even Sehore, from where the ex-MLA hails, has faced untimely rain and hail in the recent past.
Farmers across the state have suffered huge losses due to natural calamities and urged the government to waive off their loans.
There have been several incidents of farmers committing suicide over their inability to repay the bank loans.
Just recently, a BJP Member of Parliament from Satna, Ganesh Singh, had sparked a row with an insensitive statement on farmers.
He had said that government cannot be blamed if the farmers do not get minimum support price for their produce.
He further suggested the farmers to employ shepherds for Rs 10,000 if animals were eating up their crops.
The statement was made by the MP at an event of Kaushal Vikas Kendra (Skill development centre), which was attended by state’s agriculture minister, MLAs, and other district administration officials, including collector.
