Teacher forces class 10 girl to strip in school over allegations of stealing Rs 70

DAMOH: A class 10 girl in Madhya Pradesh was allegedly made to strip on the pretext of a search after her classmate lost Rs 70 at a school in Damoh. 

Narrating the incident she said that she was forced by her teacher to admit to the theft. "My classmate lost her money. The teacher checked my bag and threatened me to admit to theft. When I refused, she made me and my friend strip," she said.

Taking cognisance of the issue, the District Education Officer said, "I have issued show cause notice to Principal of the school. We will take strict action against people responsible."
