- 4:00 pm (84 seats): Congress grabs win in 28 seats, NCP 20, Shiv Sena 13, BJP 9, AIMIM 7, Others 7  


- 2:45 pm (84 seats): Congress records victory on 28 seats, NCP 20, Shiv Sena 13, BJP 9, AIMIM 7, Others 7  


- 1:00 pm (84 seats): Congress wins 17 seats, NCP 8, Shiv Sena 7, AIMIM 6, BJP 3 


- 12:05 pm (84 seats): Congress grabs 10 seats, Shiv Sena 7, NCP 5, BJP 3, AIMIM 2


- 11:35 am: Shiv Sena wins 3 seats, Congress 4, BJP 1, AIMIM 1


- 11:15 am: Shiv Sena is leading on 7 seats, Congress 3, BJP 2, NCP 3, AIMIM 2, Others 1


- The State Election Commission began counting of votes at 10 am.


- The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen had fielded 37 candidates in Malegaon.


- Muslims comprise over 75 percent of Malegaon's population and elections were held for 83 of the 84 wards. One Congress candidate has been declared elected unopposed.


- Malegaon, a Muslim-dominated city in Nashik district, around 280 km north-east of Mumbai, was rocked by two terror attacks in 2006 and 2008 and is listed among the 'sensitive' cities in the state.


- In a first in Maharashtra elections, drones were deployed as the eye in the sky to monitor the Malegaon Municipal Corporation elections.
