Parbhani: The Congress on Friday won in 31 wards in the election to Parbhani municipal corporation in Maharashtra.

The incumbent Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) finishes second with victory in 18 seats; Bharatiya Janata Party – 08 and Shiv Sena – 06, Others - 02.


Seventy percent turnout was registered in the polling held on Wednesday for the Parbhani municipal corporation in Maharashtra.


In the 65-member Parbhani municipal corporation, the battle was seen mainly between the incumbent NCP and Shiv Sena.


 


 


 


It was said to be a test for district guardian minister and senior Shiv Sena leader Diwakar Raote.


There were 418 candidates in the fray; the number of voters is 2.12 lakh.
