Mumbai: Learning is indeed fun in this school!
A school named St. Mary's ICSE in Mumbai's Mazgaon has started using a 3D laboratory to make subjects like Mathematics and Science more interesting.
Dr Fr Francis Swamy, Principal of St. Mary's ICSE, said "One 3D glass cost around Rs 5,000 and the setup of a lab is around Rs 5 lakh. Around 45 to 50 students can be accommodated at a time for a session, which gives the feeling of watching a movie in a theatre."
Rushaad Dupetawalla, Senior Physics and Mathematics teacher and author, said, "In order to keep students engaged throughout the class, it has become essential to give lessons to students which are captivating and mesmerising.
"The 3D projector does exactly that. It takes the students to the virtual world and makes the student feel he is at the site itself. It's a virtual classroom and a precedent for all other schools to follow."
