New Delhi: Once again, there is a lot of buzz around the mobile and gadget market –courtesy, the announcement of a new smartphone at a throw-away price.


Domestic startup Champ1 is ready with its smartphone ChampOne C1 at Rs 501. The company says that the actual MRP of the phone is Rs 7,999 while the phone is available for only Rs 501.


Registrations for the smartphone are open while the flash sale will begin on Thursday from 11 am onwards.

However, you must know a few details before you register for the phone. The company says:


a. Only existing customers are eligible for flash sale.


b. Flash sale available only for Offline mode (Cash on Delivery) and no online payment shall be accepted for Phone.



The race for delivering the 'cheapest' smartphone started with Ringing Bells' Freedom 251 which was later joined by another smartphone maker coming up with Docoss X1.


We all know the controversy surrounding these smartphone companies and their continuous failure to meet the deadline.


We advise that you take extreme caution while going ahead with the bookings. Make sure that you don't divulge too much of your private and financial details.
