New Delhi: Rumors about the launch of anniversary edition iPhone 8 are overflowing as August is almost nearing its end. As per reports , the handset is likely to be launched at an event in any of the first two weeks of September (most probably September 6 to 12). Although Apple is still tight-lipped in relation to its annual September event, iPhone 8, iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus are expected to be unveiled if the company follows its tradition.

Below are the available details of iPhone's new editions.

- Reportedly, iPhone 8 will come in 64GB, 256GB and 512GB storage options and possibly sourced from varied suppliers. 

- 64GB and 256GB chips may be sourced from Toshiba and SanDisk and the 512GB variants may be sourced from Samsung and Hynix. 

- It may have 3D sensing feature and new AR which demands more storage capacity.

- While there is no official announcement from company's end, if the rumors turned out to be true, pre-bookings of all the three handsets may begin from the same week (most likely from September 15). 

- It is being said that there will be no restraint on the supply of iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus but iPhone 8 may come in limited editions at the initial stage.

- The improvisations expected in  iPhone 8 with an OLED bezel-less panel are- 


  • no home button 
     
  • a vertical dual camera with AR capabilities
     
  • a 3D sensing front and rear camera
     
  • facial recognition
     
  • wireless charging
     
  • better waterproofing

*These speculations are based on traditional rollout format of Apple, but there is no certainty if the company will stick to the same pattern this year too.
