New Delhi: Chinese smartphone maker is all set to launch the Mi Max 2 at an event in China on Thursday.

Mi Max 2 touted to be the the successor to Xiaomi's Mi Max that released in May last year will be launched in China via live streaming.

Rumour mills predict the Mi Max 2 to come with a 6.44-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display. The phablet will likely sport a 12-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX378 sensor and a 5-megapixel front camera and  5,349mAh battery.


The Mi Max 2 is expected to come in two variants — Snapdragon 626 SoC model with 4GB RAM, and Snapdragon 660 SoC with 6GB RAM.


Reports also say that the starting price of the Mi Max 2 will be approximately between CNY 1,499 and CNY 1,699.
