Mumbai: In yet another incident highlighting concerns regarding women's safety in metros, a college girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped inside a moving car in suburban Charkop in Mumbai, reports said on Friday.

The incident took place around 7 am on Thursday when the victim was on her way to college. 


An Eeco car, with three men inside, drew up near her and allegedly kidnapped and then took turns to rape her.


The local police probing the matter said that the accused after pulling the victim into the car sexually assaulted the girl.


The captors took the girl near Madh Island in Malad and allegedly raped her there.


The police is waiting for the medical reports of the victim and have registered a case of rape and kidnapping.


However, no arrest has been made yet.
