Arjun Kapoor - Shraddha Kapoor`s `Half Girlfriend` will have an 18-minute long song in the film.

Mumbai: Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘ Half Girlfriend’, an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s namesake novel is all set to create a record by having an 18-minute long song! The Mohit Suri directorial is making headlines for all the right reasons for sure.

According to a report in dnaindia.com originally attributed to Spotboye.com, ‘Half Girlfriend’ will have an 18-minute long song in the film. Music composer Mithoon and lyricist Manoj Muntashir are working on it.

The report also suggests that the song will played during a crucial juncture in the narrative.

Songs have been an integral part of Indian films ever since sound was incorporated in filmmaking.  A number of cult films have had awe-inspiring sound tracks. There have been songs that have been pretty long but nothing as long as 18-minutes!

It will however be interesting to see if the song in its entirety makes it to the final film without any cuts.

The film is slated to release on May 19 this year.
