Two interstate dacoits arrested; Rs 15 lakh booty recovered
Booty worth Rs 15 lakh was recovered from two members of an inter-state gang wanted for dacoity, after they were arrested in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, police said on Friday.

According District Superintendent of Police, Sivashanker Reddy, one of the accused identified as G Tataji (34) of Visakhapatnam was caught while selling gold ornaments at Kakinada Town railway station yesterday.
His interrogation led to the arrest of his accomplice 25-year-old Sattibabu alias Satish, who has many cases of dacoity and house-breaking registered against him, the police official said.
The SP said that booth worth Rs 15 lakh including cash, gold and silver ornaments were recovered from their possession.
Both have been arrested in connection with a dacoity last December at the house of one V Kasi Viswanatham in Kakinada. Both the robbers had fled from the scene after the.
Police said that Satish was involved in 16 such cases and has also been convicted in one of them.
Tataji revealed that Satish was in contact with Visakhapatnam jail inmates and had made plans to loot the house in Kakinada.
