A shocking ISIS-inspired video of a BJP leader`s son being kidnapped by suspected United Liberation Front of Assam -Independent militants in Arunachal Pradesh has now come to fore.
Dispur: A shocking ISIS-inspired video of a BJP leader's son being kidnapped by suspected United Liberation Front of Assam -Independent militants in Arunachal Pradesh has now come to fore.
The video shows BJP leader Ratnaswer Moran's son being held at the gun point by a group of five masked militants, who have also demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore for setting him free.
Kuldeep, son of Tinsukia district panchayat vice-president Ratneshwar Moran, is also shown pleading to his father, mother and the Chief Minister of Assam for help.
"I have been abducted by ULFA-I and they are taking me to different places blindfolded," said the youth who is seen kneeling down in the video. "I have become very weak and my health has also deteriorated. I am afraid I might die in cross-firing," he added.
It is the first incident of its kind where the banned outfit has released a video in ISIS style and demanded ransom.
The banned outfit is active in the Nampong area of Arunachal Pradesh and the Assam border.
Kuldeep was reportedly abducted by the ULFA militants on August 1. Interestingly, ULFA general secretary has denied that the banned outfit is involved in the abduction.
