After son Tej Pratap`s goof-up, Lalu tweets `PM should take oath of office afresh`
According to a video, Narendra Modi is heard saying `akshanna` instead of `akshunna`.
Patna: Stung by the swearing-in ceremony goof-up of his son Tej Pratap, former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav on Sunday dug-up a similar situation from the past involving PM Narendra Modi and asked him to take oath of office again.
Lalu Yadav took to Twitter to highlight the incident, saying that the PM committed grievous mistake while taking oath on 26 May 2014. He even embeded a video clip of the ceremony posted on YouTube by the official twitter handle of 'PMO India'.
Lalu tweeted that while taking oath, Modi misread the word 'Akshunna' (Intact) as 'Akshnna' (which has no meaning in hindi).
The RJD chief's tweets comes just a day after his younger son Tej Pratap was asked to repeat a word after he fumbled during his swearing-in ceremony as Bihar’s Cabinet Minister.
In another tweet, Lalu alleged that, “They (BJP) want to divide the country because Narendra Modi did not take the correct oath to keep the country ‘akshunna’ (intact) with integrity and ascendancy”. Hence, he said that Modi's oath is meaningless.
According to the video, Modi is heard saying ‘akshanna’ instead of ‘akshunna’. However, President Pranab Mukherjee who administered the oath, didn't notice the mistake and the ceremony continued without interruption.
