"We congratulate the Grand Alliance on its astounding victory in the Assembly polls. We hope the rulers refrain from discriminating against Dalits and minorities as it will not be tolerated," he told the party workers here.

Downplaying the AIMIM's abysmal performance in its maiden electoral foray in Bihar, Owaisi said his party has lost the polls, but its morale was still high as a strong foundation has been laid on which the party can grow further.

AIMIM had put up six candidates from constituencies in Seemanchal region and all of them lost in the wave in favour of the Grand Alliance comprising RJD, JD(U) and Congress.

The firebrand AIMIM president, who is a Lok Sabha member from Hyderabad, had also actively campaigned for his party candidates in the state.
