RJD MLA accused of kidnapping, molesting minor girl

Bihar DIG has ordered the arrest of the Nawada MLA and an investigation is currently underway.

Patna: A RJD MLA from Bihar's Nawada district has been accused of kidnapping and molesting a minor girl, prompting the authorities to launch a probe.

The accusation against a lawmaker of the state's ruling JD(U)-RJD government comes a day after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar chaired a high-level meeting to take stock of the law and order situation in the state.

According to the ANI news agency, the minor girl, who hails from Nalanda, has accused Nawada RJD MLA Rajballabh Yadav of kidnapping and molesting her.

The report further said that the state's DIG has ordered the arrest of the MLA and an investigation is currently underway.
