Bhabhua: Three persons including two children died on Thursday, while thirteen others were injured when the terrace of a building collapsed in Kaimur district of Bihar.

The incident happened during an engagement ceremony at a house falling under ward number 14 in Bhabhua town, the headquarters of Kaimur district.


Superintendent of Police (SP) Sunil Kumar Naik said, "The terrace gave way during engagement ceremony at the house of one Parvati Kunwar as a crowd assembled at the spot to attend the function."


Durga Kumari (7) and Jyoti Kumari (8) died on the spot, while Nighora Ram (40) succumbed to injuries at Bhabhua Sadar Hospital.


The SP said seven of the 13 injured were in serious condition and referred to Varanasi for better treatment.


The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
