New Delhi: As the Centre gave absolute power to Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung to appoint bureaucrats, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has prepared a list of 39 IAS officers who according to the Aap Aadmi Party (AAP) government are unwanted and not fit to work, media reports said on Friday.

Taking the tug-of-war over appointment of bureaucrats to the next level, CM Kejriwal is all set to forward the shortlisted IAS officer's list to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), reports added.

Notably, at present there are only 89 IAS officers posted in the national capital.

Reports further said that caught in the crossfire between CM Kejriwal and LG Jung, several government officials are lobbying hard for central deputation or assignments in other states as they fear they will then be persecuted by the Delhi government.

Earlier in the day, in a frontal attack on Modi government, Delhi CM accused it of trying to run the national capital through "backdoor" to protect the corrupt and said it had "back-stabbed" the people of the city by issuing a notification "siding" with the Lt Governor.

However, hitting back at Kejriwal, BJP dubbed him as "controversywal", accusing him of creating controversies over the issue of posting of officials and using it as "diversionary tactic" to prepare himself to "run away" from his responsibilities.

The party also said that Kejriwal had become a little addicted to making allegations which have absolutely no truth in them, as the Delhi government led by him had nothing to show in its 100 days of being in power.

The appointment of senior bureaucrat Shakuntala Gamlin as acting chief secretary by LG Jung, last week, had triggered a full-blown war between the ruling AAP and Najeeb Jung, with Kejriwal questioning the LG's authority and accusing him of trying to take over the administration.
