Policeman killed in firing inside Karkardooma court in Delhi; two others injured
Head Constable Ram Kumar succumbed to injuries sustained in the firing.
New Delhi: A policeman was killed while two others were injured when unidentified men opened fire inside the Karkardooma court complex here.
Head Constable Ram Kumar succumbed to injuries sustained in the firing, ANI reported.
The incident took place around 11 am when an undertrial was brought to court number 73, following which the unidentified persons, who were suspected to have been waiting to attack the undertrial, fired at least 10 rounds and fled, said a police official.
Constable Ram Kumar, who was escorting the undertrial, was hit by four bullets.
Two people have been nabbed in connection with the incident.
Among the other two injured were the undertrial and a home guard posted at the court.
