New Delhi: Delhi Police on Tuesday filed a supplementary chargesheet in the case against Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student Anmol Ratan who allegedly raped a 28-year-old Ph.D. student.

The supplementary chargesheet, containing the report obtained by the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), was filed before Additional Sessions Judge Devendra Kumar Sharma who listed the matter for December 14 for further hearing.


Meanwhile, the court recorded the statement of the complainant who remained inconclusive and will be continue on the next date fixed for hearing.


The proceedings was held in-camera.


According to informed sources, the victim stood with her statement whatever she deposed in the first information report as well as before a magistrate.


On October 17, the court framed rape and criminal intimidation against the accused Ratan.


Ratan, who is in judicial custody, had surrendered himself before police on August 24. 


Ratan had allegedly raped the girl after luring her to his hostel room on the pretext of giving her the copy of a movie she wanted and then giving her a drink spiked with a sedative.


An activist of the All India Student Association (AISA), Ratan was expelled from Leftist student outfit after the allegations against him.
