New Delhi: As the stand-off continues between JNU students and Delhi Police over the sedation issue, the teachers union has demanded the removal of the university's registrar from the post.
The Jawaharlal Nehru University Teachers Association (JNUTA) has also urged the varsity to take steps to withdraw the sedition charges against students.
“The teachers association has demanded that the registrar must be removed from his position.
“We are also asking the university to take steps to withdraw sedition charges against the students, JNUTA secretary Vikram Aditya Choudhary said.
“The Vice Chancellor has assured us that police won't enter the campus. We welcome this decision,” Choudhary said.
