It is shocking to note that Satender Singh Shekhawat is an MBA (marketing). He dresses in a branded suit and pretends to talk over phone in fluent English.

A Crime Branch team arrested Shekhawat on a tip-off while he was driving an Audi Q4 near Hyatt Regency Hotel on Monday.

The car was stolen from the parking area of Holiday Inn Hotel near IGI airport, on August 26, said Ravindra Yadav, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch).

Shekhawat had “developed an ingenious though a simple plan of stealing vehicles. He would come nicely dressed and target valet areas of five-star hotels," the officer said.

"Well-dressed and fluent in English he would talk over a phone like any patron of the hotel and snap up keys of high-end cars from valet service stand and drive away nonchalantly," he said.

During interrogation, Shekhawat said the stolen vehicles were disposed of to his trustworthy receivers, who would use those for drug trafficking to avoid the attention of police and other law agencies, Yadav claimed.

Shekhawat was involved in more than 20 cases of robbery and thefts of high-end cars. He was arrested several times in past and was lodged at jails in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Porbandar, Nasik, Mumbai, Ratlam and Mandsor, he added.
