Pollution scare: Friday`s Real-time Air Quality Index Visual Map in Delhi

New Delhi: Although pollution levels in the winter season seem to have receded somewhat, particulate matter in the air seem to still exist, toxicating the entire national capital and its residents.
Air quality in Delhi plunged to the 'very poor' level with real-time readings of PM 2.5, the tiniest and most damaging of all the particulate matters, breaching the 'severe' category in areas across Delhi.
Delhi has been in its worst shape where air pollution and air quality is concerned, ever since Diwali season in November.
As per the Real-time Air Quality Index Visual Map, Anand Vihar has recorded air quality at 556 as of 7:00 am, whereas, RK Puram is at 253.
Areas in and around Punjabi Bagh and Mandir Marg have set air quality standards at 246 and 201 respectively, at 7:00 am.
