The strategic location of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College ,(popularly known as Khalsa College), the college managed by Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committe) is accessible to students from all over Delhi and NCR by train and bus.

Established in 1973 as Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa Post Graduate Evening college, the institution was converted in to a full-fledged morning college in 2005 in July.


Despite not having any sports ground of its own, the college has still given a tough competition to other colleges by producing invincible sports champions. One of its recent success stories is that of Lalit Mathur, a student who made the college proud by creating a new meet record in 400mts relay at Inter-college Athletic meet in 2014-15.


Talking about academic performance of the students, Principal, Dr. Man Mohan Kaur shares, “Although we never discriminate with students on the basis of percentage, but our results are always at par with other colleges. The college has earned good reputation in academics and extra curricular activities too. We have no sports ground, neither huge campus, but still we receive thousands of admission forms, because sports is our USP,” she adds.


She further mentions, “We believe in the concept of holistic education by promoting spirituality. Our focus is to enhance and promote students' talent in all spheres.”


Presently, there are around 2,056 students that are taught by more than 85 highly qualified teachers in the college. There are nine departments in the college that offer nine undergraduate and two post-graduate programmes.

There are more than 73,366 books. Library is fully computerised and centrally air-conditioned. Seminar room, Common room for girls and boys separately, gymnasium.


The college also focuses on art and culture and for this they have many academic societies like 'Vedang' the debate society, Punjabi Sahitya Sabha, 'Encor' The English society etc. 'Surlok' is the annual fest of the college.
