New Delhi: JEE Mains 2017 online registration date has been extended from Jan 2 to January 16.

The exam will be held on April 2 (Sunday), 2017.


The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the exam for admission to NITs, IITs and other centrally funded technical institutions.


Selection procedure:


Candidates who have successfully cleared the JEE (Mains) will have to appear JEE Advanced exam round. On the basis of exams, students will be selected.


New changes:


The Ministry of Human Resource Development has notified following two changes in the JEE pattern for 2017:


There shall be no weightage for class 12 marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination.


Qualifying marks for SC/ST students would be 65 percent in class 12 exam.


The candidates need to qualify JEE Advanced/Main for admissions into IITs, NITs etc.


They should have secured at least 75 percent marks in class 12 exam, or be in the top 20 percentile in class 12 exam conducted by respective boards.
