Gandhinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party`s PM nominee Narendra Modi praised party patriarch LK Advani while sharing stage with the veteran leader and said that he has been a guiding light for the party workers. “Advani has played a crucial role in my political career and has guided us. Whatever we can do for Advani, it is less. It is our privilege that we are getting to serve the BJP, India and Advani,” Modi said, adding that the victory of the BJP is assured. Speaking in Gandhinagar in Gujarat, Modi once again appealed to the people to rid India of the Congress party while exuding confidence that there will not be a single state where Congress will get a double digit in the upcoming General Elections.
The Gujarat chief minister said that the Congress will face its worst ever defeat in the Lok Sabha polls while asked the voters to make Advani win with a record margin in Gandhinagar.
Modi said that the elections in the month of May are challenging but we want to ensure maximum voting not for BJP but for a healthy democracy.
Mentioning his recent rallies in Odisha, Modi said we was stunned with the turnout at his Rourkela rally despite BJP being a minority party in the state.
The Former deputy prime minister had earlier today said that and Modi will become the next prime minister of India.
Advani who has won from the Gandhinagar Parliamentary seat for last 16 years was reluctant to contest from Gujarat, and before filing his nomination told reporters that he never intended to fight the upcoming polls from here.
