Kejriwal chides Goa CM over tainted relative
In August last year, Dilip Malvankar, a field officer at the government-run Goa Industrial Development Corp and Parsekar`s brother-in law, was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau while accepting a Rs 1 lakh bribe to facilitate allocation of an industrial plot in Tuem village, 35 km from Panaji.
Panaji: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday slammed his Goa counterpart Laxmikant Parsekar for reinstating his tainted brother-in law who had been caught taking bribe.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader claimed that if his own kin was involved in corruption, he would ensure that the accused spends his lifetime in prison.
"What signal is the Chief Minister sending to the people? If it was my brother-in-law, I would have cut off my relations with him and ensured he stays in prison," he said.
