The Haryana Cabinet will on Friday convene an all-party meeting to discuss the demands of Jat community leaders who are agitating across the state seeking reservation in government jobs.
Chandigarh: The Haryana Cabinet will on Friday convene an all-party meeting to discuss the demands of Jat community leaders who are agitating across the state seeking reservation in government jobs.
The meeting will begin at 11 am.
On Thursday, an emergency Cabinet meeting, presided over by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, was held.
Later, state Agriculture Minister OP Dhankar had said the Cabinet has appealed to the agitating Jats to call off their protests in the larger interest of the state.
Dhankar had added: "The administration and police were fully alert to meet any eventuality and the government has kept all its options open to deal with the situation arising out of the ongoing sir."
