Pakistani and Saudi agents were among the 50 foreign spies nabbed by the Russian counter-intelligence this year, Russia's Federal Security Service chief has said. Intelligence services of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iraq and some other countries have lost their precious informers, general Nikolai Patrushev was quoted as saying.
He, however, declined to divulge any details referring to understanding among intelligence services, 'Ria Novosti' reported.
As a result of long-term and well-planned operations, the Federal Security Service had caught red-handed 10 aliens, including 6 officers of foreign intelligence services spying against Russia. General Patrushev expressed concern at the growing number of cases when politicians, defence and civil servant volunteer to spy for China, North Korea and Israel, Itar-Tass added.
