New Delhi: Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain today conducted surprise inspection at Janakpuri's Super Speciality Hospital and Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital to check the arrangements for dengue patients.

Jain took the stock of the ongoing dengue preparations at Janakpuri's Super Speciality Hospital where 200 new beds were recently set up to accommodate the increasing numbers of dengue patients.


The Health minister also met representatives of School Management Committee (SMC) to spread dengue awareness in 1100 government schools in the national capital.


Jain also asked the representative of SMC to make school children, teachers and staff aware about the vector-borne disease and to ensure that all surroundings are kept clean.


A senior government official said that some individuals and AAP Trade Wing also met Jain and have promised to provide 700 new beds for accommodating dengue patients in different government hospitals.


"Some individuals and AAP Trade Wing representatives have announced donation of 700 new beds in government hospitals," the official said.
