New Delhi: The unprecedented summer heat can bring in a number of health issues.


 


But by knowing how to prepare for a heat wave and what to do when one gets it can help avert the biggest health dangers such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke.


Make sure that you eat sensibly and stay hydrated so that you don't fall ill during this time of the season. Here are some foods to help you beat the heat wave and keep you cool naturally:


Leafy greens:

Watermelon:



Delicious and refreshing, watermelon is a cooling food that can act like internal ac in the body. In fact, watermelons contain a higher source of lycopene than any other fruit or vegetable.


Coconut water:



For centuries, we have known about the amazing health benefits of tender coconut water, which comes from young green coconuts. It also has a wealth of cooling properties.
