Rohtak: Honeypreet Insan, the adopted daughter of Gurmeet Ram Rahim, has been on the run ever since he was convicted of rape, spent a night at one of her relative's home in Rajasthan's Hanumangarh.

ANI quoted one of the relatives of Honeypreet as saying that she stayed at his house on August 28 and went away on the next day. 


"Honeypreet is my daughter's sister-in-law, she stayed at my house in Hanumangarh on 28th August and went away on 29th August," he told ANI. 


As per reports, Honeypreet did not eat food that night. She appeared tensed the entire night and kept weeping. 


The adopted daughter of self-styled godman has been missing since the Dera chief was convicted in two rape cases by the special CBI court on August 25.  She is absconding in connection with the recent violence in Haryana districts in which at least 38 people lost their lives. 


Earlier on September 18, the Haryana Police had released a 'wanted list' of 43 people which also mentioned Honeypreet's name. 


The police initiated efforts to trace Honeypreet after it arrested and questioned another sect functionary, Surinder Dhiman Insan, in connection with an alleged conspiracy to help Ram Rahim Singh escape after his conviction by a special CBI court in Panchkula on August 25.


Honeypreet Insan has been charged with sedition for allegedly plotting the self-appointed guru's escape from a court in Panchkula where he was held guilty.
