AK Mital appointed as Chairman, Railway Board
The government appointed AK Mital as the new Chairman of the Railway Board on Thursday.
New Delhi: The government appointed AK Mital as the new Chairman of the Railway Board on Thursday.
Mital succeeds Arunendra Kumar who has superannuated on December 31, 2014.
An officer of the 1976 batch of Indian Railway Service, Mital served as Member Staff, Railway Board before taking over the top job.
In his long career, Mital has held various important posts including as General Manager of South Western Railway (Hubli), Executive Director/Vigilance and Executive Director/Stores in Railway Board and Chief Material Manager in Northern Railway.
