Appalling! 8-year-old rape victim given Rs 2 by accused to keep mum

Lucknow: In a bizarre case of savagery, an eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped and lured with Rs 2 to keep her mouth shut in Uttar Pradesh's Meerganj area.

According to a report on Pradesh 18, the accused had kidnapped the girl and took her to a jungle where he raped her. The girl was also accompanied by her friend.

In the jungle, while he raped the victim, he beat up other one who tried to escape.

The accused then lured both the girls with two coins and asked them to be mum about the incident.

The family of the victim has claimed that the two girls were on their way to school when the man lured them with some money.

"The two girls reached home with injuries and bleeding they were immediately taken to the community health centre, who in turn referred them to the district hospital," Senior Superintendent of Police R K Bharadwaj was quoted as saying by Pradesh 18.

The condition of the victim is serious.

A case has been filed against an unidentified man.
