The warrant was issued after Singh failed to appear before court today.

The latest media reports say that the former MP CM is likely to appear before the court on Saturday.

Digvijaya Singh and former state Assembly Speaker Sriniwas Tiwari are accused of misusing their official position and power to fraudulently appoint 17 people in the Assembly Secretariat between 1993 and 2003, when Singh was the CM.

A total of 24 people are accused in the case.

An FIR was registered in February last year against Singh and Tiwari in connection with the case at Jehangirabad police station.
