Arrested Islamic State suspect Ibrahim Yazdani sought admission in Turkey University - Know more about him

Hyderabad: Ibrahim Yazdani was arrested by National Investigating Agency (NIA) for allegedly planning terror attacks at behest of the dreaded terrorist outfit Islamic State (IS) across Hyderabad.

The NIA said investigation has disclosed that accused Yazdani had applied for admission in AYDIN University, Turkey in September-October, 2015.

Prior to fleeing from Hyderabad, Yazdani and Habib Mohammed procured two SIM cards by producing photocopies of passports of two people from Ranga Reddy district.

A report said that Yazdani was working on behest of a IS handler operating from abroad.

The 'IS sympathisers' arrested during raids across the city last month were Mohammed alias Yazdani, 24; his brother Mohammed Ibrahim, 29, of Aman Nagar; Habib Mohammed, 32, of Barkas; Mohammed Irfan alias Yaqais, 26, of Chatta Bazaar; and Abdullah Bin Ahmed Al Amoodi alias Fahad, 30, of Charminar.

NIA officials had found an app on the mobile phone of the alleged main leader Ibrahim Yazdani, with a map that had pinned the locations of police stations.

Yazdani has reportedly told the investigators that he was asked by his handler Shafi Armar to use an explosive called Triacetone Triperoxide (TATP) to make the bombs. Notably, TATP was used to during Paris blasts.
