New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Kozhikode in Kerala on Friday to attend the BJP's three-day national council meeting.

"Upon his arrival in the city in the evening, the Prime Minister will address a public meeting being organised as part of the national council," senior BJP leader and party's former Kerala unit president, V Muraleedharan had said.
This will be the Prime Minister’s first ever public speech after the deadly Uri attacks, which has put terrorism back on the discussion table.
In the backdrop of the Uri terror attack that left 18 soldiers dead, India India has announced that it will seek to diplomatically isolate Pakistan from all forums.
Modi, who will attend the BJP meetings on September 24 and 25, will also inaugurate the birth centenary celebrations of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, former Jan Sangh president, at a special function on Sunday evening.
