Sonia Gandhi accidentally fractured her arm when she collapsed during the Varanasi rally, according to a report in TOI.

Reportedly, Sonia Gandhi is still in ICU and is unlikely to be discharged this week.

"Mrs Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital today at 1:30 PM under the care of Dr Arup Basu and his team from Department of Pulmonology. She is dehydrated but is presently stable and her further investigations are being conducted. She is advised rest," Chairman of the hospital Dr D S Rana said on Wednesday in a medical bulletin.

The 69-year-old Congress chief had returned to Delhi by a chartered flight close to midnight after she had to abandon the 8-km roadshow in Varanasi midway due to illness.

After landing, Sonia was taken to the RR Hospital, which is close to the airport.
