New Delhi: A 14-year-old girl was abducted and gang-raped by six youths while on her way to school on Thursday morning. According to a report in the Times of India, the girl was dragged inside a car near her home and allegedly gang-raped near Dichaon village area of southwest Delhi.

The girl was taken to a secluded area where the accused took turns to rape her inside the vehicle. The incident was witnessed by a passerby, who informed cops at the next traffic signal. Acting on the tip-off, cops managed to trace the vehicle and nab five accused, whereas one of them managed to flee the spot.


Police told that the incident took place between 8am and 11am in a Tata Sumo, which was hired by the accused to commit the crime. 


Medical examination of the victim has confirmed rape. Police have registered a case and search is on to nab the fifth accused.
