However, as per a report in The Times of India, the apex court refused to entertain a PIL which had been filed on governance deficit leading to deaths from dengue.

The bench of Justices TS Thakur and V Gopala Gowda said that the PIL could be entertained on specific violation of constitutional provision and not governance deficit.

At the same time the court did observe that if the Narendra Modi-led government and the Arvind Kejriwal-led government do not sort out their problems then the people will give their verdict at the appropriate time.

The apex court added that the two governments must resolve their disputes and give good governance and the courts could not to step into such disputes.
