New Delhi: Social networking site Twitter is once again abuzz with followers of spiritual guru Asaram Bapu, who are appealing for the release of the godman.

Calling him innocent, Asaram followers demanded his immediate release.






Asaram has been repeatedly denied bail after he was jailed in connection with several case of rape and sexual misconduct in August 2013.


A teenaged girl of Asaram’s Chindwara-based gurukul had accused him of sexual assault at his ashram near Jodhpur. 


Another girl from Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh had also accused Asaram of sexual misconduct.
