Guwahati: Just days after an earthquake measuring 6.8 on Richter scale hit northeast India bordering Myanmar, fresh tremors were felt in Assam on Wednesday.

Thankfully, the intensity of the earthquake was 4.0 and there have been no immediate information on casualties or damage so far.. The shock was felt at 3:55 pm today.


On Monday, tremors were felt in several parts in Assam , West Bengal , Arunachal Pradesh , Bihar , Jharkhand. The epicentre of Monday's quake was 33 km northwest of Imphal, the capital of Manipur. At least 9 people were killed while over 100 were hospitalised in Manipur.
