New Delhi: Security forces got into a flap on Tuesday after a man made a hoax call about impending bomb blasts at the Red fort and Rajghat in the national capital.

"A call was received around 4.15 p.m. today (Tuesday) that bombs would blast at two places including the Red fort and Rajghat," a senior police officer who did not wish to be named told IANS, 


"After receiving the call all the tourists and vendors were removed from the Red fort and Rajghat premises to carry out searches for bombs there," the officer said.


Bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs were rushed to these places but no bombs were found, police said.


The caller was traced to Shahdara area in east Delhi, police said. 


The police raided the house of the caller but no one was found there.


Further investigation is on.
