Kathmandu: India and Nepal have discussed mutual cooperation in regional disaster response management during a visit by Indian Army officials.

A seven-member team of Indian Army had arrived here on Tuesday led by Maj Gen PJS Pannu, Additional Director General, Military Operations.


The delegation is here on a four-day visit for mutual cooperation in regional disaster response management.


Maj Gen Pannu paid a courtesy call on Nepal Army chief Gen Gaurav Shumsher Rana at the Army Headquarters yesterday.


During the occasion, bilateral relations existing between the two neighbouring countries and matters relating to mutual interest and relations mainly figured, according to a press release issued by Nepal Army Headquarters.
