New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid tributes to the father of Indian Constitution Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on his 60th death anniversary.

Expresshing his thoughts on Twitter, PM Modi said, “I bow to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on his Nirvan Divas. India will always be thankful to Babasaheb for his rich service to the nation.”


A special event was held at the Parliament complex to commemorate his death, which was attended by the Vice President Hamid Ansari, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran leader LK Advani, former prime minister Manmohan Singh among other political top brass.
