Indian killed in Houthi shelling in Saudi Arabia

Jeddah: An Indian national was killed and three Indians were injured in shelling by Houthi rebels in Saudi Arabia's Jizan province, a media report said.

The Indian, identified as Vishnu, worked in a mobile phone shop in Samta city. He was from Kerala, the Saudi Gazette reported on Sunday.

Six people were injured in the shelling including three Indians, two Egyptians and one a Yemeni national, the daily said.

All nurses at the Samta General Hospital will be shifted to the King Fahd Hospital for safety reasons, an official was quoted as saying.

On Friday, an Indian national was killed and two others were injured when Houthi rebels attacked the Samta hospital in retaliation against the Saudi-led air strikes on Yemen that began in March.
